Angel Marces

Angel Marces is a development finance and strategy professional with 18 years of international experience designing and implementing solutions for sovereign and private sector clients. His experience ranges from the design of multilateral financial support programs for Governments in the energy and extractive sectors, to strategic advisory and fundraising for energy, infrastructure, and industrial clients.  

During his 15-year tenure at the Inter-American Development Bank, Angel led or participated in 40+ loan and grant transactions and worked with all its financing windows (sovereign and non-sovereign), based both in country offices across LATAM and its headquarters in Washington DC. This broad and diverse experience allowed him to work with clients leading engagements based on evidence, performing due diligence, implementing cooperative design, and negotiating the scope of financial support. The same experience allowed him to make substantial corporate contributions, such as innovating on existing financial products, creating new applications, and proposing new ways to work synergistically.

More recently, Angel has focused his activities on strategic advisory and project development for corporate clients, especially in the power, natural gas, and financial sectors. His work with LATAM government agencies is expanding to include US agencies, with special attention to high profile areas such as energy and climate, sustainable/blended financing, and transnational financing solutions.

Angel holds a Master in Finance from Universidad del Pacifico (Peru) and is an Economist from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru.
